Carisa Barreca is an Alumni of The Second City's Resident e.t.c. Stage. She wrote and performed in three consecutive critically acclaimed revues, Soul Brother, Where Art Thou, Clown Car Named Desire and Apes Of Wrath. She had the honor of performing at Lyric Opera with Patrick Stewart and Renee Fleming in The Second City’s Guide to the Opera and in Hubbard Street and Second City's Collaboration - Art Of Falling. Most recently she performed with Twist Your Dickens at Goodman Theater.
She was was named "Best Actress" by the Midwest Filmfest for her award winning webseries Doomsdate., which she wrote, performed in and produced.
She is a founding member and Artistic Director of Matter Dance Company which has been voted Best Dance Company and Carisa was voted Best Choreographer by the Chicago Reader- Readers Poll.
